Minimum opening balance and ongoing requirements
Account opens with EC$25.00. Interest is paid quarterly on March, June, September, and December.
Statements, fees and charges
A monthly e-statement is provided at no cost. Paper statements available on request for a small fee. See full Schedule of Rates & Charges.
Closure, dormancy and reactivation
Accounts with no activity for 12 months are marked dormant. A reactivation fee applies and may be waived for BON Gold Club members.
Deposit insurance and protection
Your funds are protected in accordance with the Banking Act of St. Christopher and Nevis. The Bank of Nevis is licensed and supervised by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.

What do I need to open an account?
Two pieces of photo ID (passport, national ID, or driver's licence), proof of address dated within 3 months, and the minimum opening deposit. Visit any branch and we'll set you up in about 20 minutes.
When is interest paid?
Quarterly for most savings accounts (March, June, September, December). The BON Gold Club pays interest monthly.
Is there a monthly fee?
Standard savings accounts have no monthly service charge. Checking accounts have a small monthly charge - see the Schedule of Rates & Charges for current amounts.
What happens if I don't use my account?
Accounts with no activity for 12 months are marked dormant. A reactivation fee applies. BON Gold Club members are exempt from this fee.
